When you refer to another blogger’s post on your blog, it’s a good idea to let them know you’re doing so. You do them a real service when you actually link to their post on your blog. But a trackback is when you use your blogger program to notify the original blogger of your reference. It leaves a comment on the original blogger’s post with a link back to your blog. Then, all the readers of the original blog can click the link to read more about a topic that is already of interest to them. Blog trackbacks, like guest posts, are a win-win for all involved.
