Pay Per View Marketing Exposed in Traffic Ultimatum
Pay-per-view marketing is an interesting, albeit slightly secretive, new approach to the pay-per-click concept. With pay-per-click marketing, the advertiser pays the host when someone clicks on their ad. With pay-per-view marketing, advertisers choose keywords to be associated with their ads and pay when their ads are shown to the user. Pay-per-view ads can also be incorporated within adware. Adware is installed on a user’s computer whenever they download free software from the web. In fact, adware makes it possible for such programs to be available. When a user agrees to the terms of the software download, they may not see the fine print in which they will be shown ads based on certain keywords, searches, and page views.
Then, when they visit certain sites or search keywords relevant to the advertiser’s product, the ad pops up in front of their browser. The advertiser pays when their ad is shown to users in this manner. If you’ve ever had this happen to you, you understand how frustrating these ads can be when you are trying to work online.
